Will 13.8v dc current harm my 12v dc car audio amplifier?
Question by ddar247: Will 13.8v dc current harm my 12v dc car audio amplifier?
I have a 13.8v dc current power supply (that actually has a cigaretter lighter plug for 12v, but i would prefer not to use) and am curious if that would damage my car audio amp if i hooked it up to the 13.8v output. thanks!

Not as long as you observe polarity and make sure the power supply is negative ground.
When your car is running, the alternator puts out as much as 16 VDC.

Good sound, no software,
I purchased this for Christmas this year since I own quite a few records. While not overwhelming, the sound is good from all forms of media (tape, cd, record, and mp3). I have yet to try and pull data onto mp3s on my computer through the USB connection, but I was a bit surprised that there was no software provided with the system in order to do so. All in all, I feel it has been worth the price paid so far.

|Cheaply made, but great sound quality,
I ordered this in hopes that it would make my LPs sound great, and it does. My only complaint is that it is very cheap-looking for something so expensive. Even though it works just fine, I get the feeling that the tape player will stop working at any minute and I dislike how the lid on top of the phonograph player doesn’t lift very high. This makes it hard to see the speed settings for your records. I had to shine my cell phone light in there just to read it! Overall, the CD player works great, I love the little remote control, and the speakers sound fine, and I have yet to use the USB/iPod features, but I’m sure they’re well worth the price of the product.

|Very satisfied,
Purchased this item because I have hundreds of old vinyl records I did not want to get rid of but currently had no way to play them. Also wanted the other media play capabilities, as well as something that looked great sitting out. Didn’t know anything about Pyle Audio, so this was purchased in the blind based on other individuals’ recommendations. Can honestly say I have not been disappointed. The sound is great, all features work, and it is easy to operate. I would recommend this product to anyone that might be on the fence about purchasing this product. Got a great deal on the price, and it is well worth it. Only area that might be improved is in the instructional booklet–there are areas where it does not resemble any of the English language I learned in school. Sometimes it is difficult, if not nearly impossible to understand. But the product is exceptional, and easy to learn to operate, even if you have difficulty reading the manual.
